FREE INTRODUCTORY CONSULTATION
During this free virtual consultation, we can determine if it is a good fit for us to start working together on any immediate and long-term goals you have for your family and your dogs.
2
IN-PERSON CONSULTATION
After discussing your goals and expectations over the phone, the next step is to set up an in-person consultation. This is best done at a familiar place where your dog is comfortable, like your home or neighborhood.
-
This in-person consultation will allow me to observe your dog’s behaviors and true nature without the added stress of being in an unfamiliar environment.
-
At this meeting, we can discuss how to move forward with the training, determine which program is best for you and your dog, and determine the next steps in the process.
3
PRIVATE ONE-ON-ONE TRAINING PROGRAM
Private one-on-one training lessons involve sessions tailored for you and your dog’s individual needs and goals, as determined during the initial in-person meeting that also allows me to come up with a clear plan to achieve those goals.
-
These lessons focus on relationship building practices between you and your dog. This includes teaching your dog how to learn, and helping you learn how to incorporate new skills and behaviors that make your life with your dog more harmonious and conflict-free.
-
Private training is done in the comfort of your home or another familiar environment, such as a local park.
-
Private lessons are ideal for individuals and families that have the time and desire to learn the skills necessary to learn how to teach their dog and to implement the training plan.
-
The most commonly achieved goals with private one-on-one programs include:
-
Deepening the bond and improving the relationship with your dog;
-
Achieving loose leash walking;
-
Improving in-home management;
-
Learning basic obedience commands, such as sit, down, stay, come, leave it, and heel;
-
Curbing mild reactivity;
-
Setting the foundation for further advanced training that first requires the dog to be more under control, such as rally and agility training; and
-
Teaching your dog to learn so you can teach fun tricks and skills (and teaching you how dogs learn so you can continue to teach new skills on your own!).

BOARD AND TRAIN PROGRAMS
Board and Train (B&T) programs involve dropping your dog off to stay at my house (generally for periods of 2 to 4 weeks), which allows me to bond with your dog so that I can successfully teach them the skills and behaviors necessary to achieve the goals that we set during the consultation process.
-
B&T allows your dog to be in a safe and comfortable home environment where we can allow your dog to decompress and be able to implement all the new skills learned to become a well- behaved and well-rounded pet. Skills learned in a home environment are more easily transferred to your own home once your dog returns to you.
-
B&T programs are followed up with a go-home lesson and a series of at-home lessons in order to transfer to you the knowledge to manage your dog and continue to reinforce the new behaviors your dog has been able to achieve during their stay with me.
-
These B&T programs are perfect for owners that have a busy lifestyle or who simply do not have the time to get the foundations of training started, but who do have the commitment and desire to continue to implement the work necessary to maintain the skills initially taught by me during the B&T.
-
The most commonly achieved goals with B&T programs include:
-
Deepening the bond and improving the relationship with your dog;
-
Allowing your dog to learn to accept handling from other people besides family members (this is especially handy for vet visits and future boarding experiences);
-
Improving leash manners;
-
Improving in-home management;
-
Crate training;
-
Learning basic obedience commands, such as sit, down, stay, come, leave it, and heel;
-
Curbing mild reactivity;
-
Exposing your dog to different environments and solidifying the skills learned in distracting environments;
-
Allowing for multiple sessions throughout the day to rehearse and ingrain all the behaviors necessary to achieve the goals that have been set up;
-
Helping your dog cope with being around other dogs and other people, allowing for a more enriched life;
-
Setting the foundation for further advanced training that first requires the dog to be more under control, so that you can start more advanced training such as CGC (Canine Good Citizen), rally, advanced obedience, agility and service dog training;
-
Depending on goals and time chosen, I also offer E-collar training for off-leash skills.

PUPPY STARTER PROGRAM
Ohhh don’t we all love puppies?
-
Puppies can be a wonderful addition to any family, but without the proper foundation that bundle of joy that arrived into your life could soon become the terror of your home and the embarrassment of your family.
-
Having a solid behavioral foundation as a puppy will give you and your dog a head start to curb all the behaviors that naturally arise when a dog hits adolescence and adulthood.
-
This program is designed as a series of in-home lessons to teach you how to bond with your puppy and set up the boundaries and foundations needed to coexist harmoniously with the future dog in front of you.
-
I will help you set your pup up for success on basic things like crate training, potty training, introductory leash walking, and polite behaviors.
-
This is a great starting point with puppies up to 6 months of age (but if you have an older puppy, that’s not a problem!) We can help get you set up for a successful foundation with the right one of our programs.
DISCLAIMER:
Due to my business being based primarily at my own home (for the safety of my family and my own pets) I do not work with severe separation anxiety, self-harming behaviors, or severe dog aggression and reactivity.
If you are experiencing any of these difficulties with your dog, please feel free to reach out regardless and I can give you recommendations and referrals to trainers and facilities that are equipped to help you achieve your goals.
